I had family round so I pretty much doubled up this recipe
10 Pork ribs, fat removed (you try !)
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tsp smoked paprika
3 tbsp granulated sweetener
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp liquid smoke (don’t know what the heck this is … So I added a big splosh of balsamic vinegar half a tsp or so of mustard powder, a lazy ginger sachet, and some Worcestershire sauce ….. Improvise !!)
Place the ribs into a slow cooker. In a bowl add the passata, garlic, water, paprika, sweetener, soy sauce and everything else and stir well.
Pour over the top of the ribs, and cook on low for 6-8 hours, basting occasionally with the sauce.
Finish the ribs off in the oven…..
Put the ribs Ito an ovenproof dish, pour the excess sauce from the slow cooker into a pan or wok and boil to reduce (the liquid in the slow cooker tends to be quite thin) … Add bits n bobs to taste … Salt, pepper worcester etc .
Spoon the thickened sauce over the ribs and finish in the oven for half an hour or so.
Garnish with green stuff. Serve with SW spiced wedges and other stuff.
